Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is returning home to New York for 2018

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is returning to New York City in November. This famed lingerie brand has had two years in  (Paris, France, in 2016, and Shanghai, China, in 2017), the Victoria’s Secret Angels will be taking their wings home to the New York City catwalk for the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

This is the 16th time that Victoria’s Secret has shown in the Big Apple. It staged its first catwalk event there in 1995.

The show is set to broadcast in 190 countries, and will also feature a number of musical performances, to be announced in the next coming weeks. However, a specific date for the high-profile event has not yet been disclosed.

The full list of models scheduled to appear on the catwalk is still to emerge, although Toni Garrn, Barbara Palvin and Shanina Shaik have all confirmed their involvement. The latest new Victoria’s Secret recruit includes Winnie Harlow, who cried with joy when she heard the news.

The move comes after some snafus last year in Shanghai. Reports went around that some models like Gigi Hadid did not get their Chinese visas approved. Hadid’s issues led her to ultimately drop out of the show. The VS after party was reportedly shut down by police too, at 11:50 p.m.

The Victoria’s Secret catwalk show is the most-watched fashion event of the year (800 million tune in annually) with around $12 million (about £9.2 million) spent on putting the spectacle together – a huge figure considering most catwalk shows cost an estimated $1 million (about £700,000).
