PoliticsThis 12-Year-Old Running One of Trump's Campaign Offices Is Probably a Step Up for Them Honestly
A pre-teen is running a county campaign office in Colorado.
People say children are the future. What they don't say is, Children are the future, but let's cut out the middle man of time and just let them run shit right now. Yet that's exactly what's happening in Jefferson County, Colorado, where a 12-year-old boy is literally running Trump's campaign office.
The preteen's name is Weston Imer, and he literally works a desk job sending volunteers to get out the vote. He plans to hold onto the job until September, when he has to go back to school because, again, he is a 12-year-old child. (Unless this is all an elaborate troll.) Someone get this kid a big boy scout badge STAT.
Apparently, Imer also hopes to one day become POTUS himself. ""Watch for me —2040," Imer said. "And Barron Trump, if you are watching, in 2040 I'll take you as my running mate." How generous!
It sounds like he's doing a decent job, reminding us that even a 12-year-old is more competent than Paul Manafort, Corey Lewandowski, or any of the other post-puberty folks working for the Trump campaign. Imer was able to get through an entire interview without telling lies or offending anyone outright, so maybe more 12-year-olds can be used throughout the country for Trump's campaign. And then, when Trump loses, they can all have a big joint tantrum.
