The 2017 Ford GT received 6,506 applications

Ford’s got everyone on a “job-interview” spree… or that’s what it looks like. About 500 people will get the opportunity to aquire one of the 2017 and 2018 Ford GTs, and more coming up later on. The GT announcement pulled everyone to the scene, with almost 200,000 people trying out the online configurator. Almost 500,000 visitors gravitated to the site, 10,800 indicated an interest in the car, and 6,506 people actually sent in applications to become the “ambassadors” of the new $450,0000 auto machine, we didn’t say for free.

To prove that they really wanted a 2017 GT, interested buys got creative by sending Ford videos through YouTube, where each and everyone expressed how much they wanted to aquire one, and why they would be the perfect matches with the supercar.
If you’ve gone through the process of applying for a dream job, you would know what these people actually did to secure their place behind the wheel – or at least hoped. Ford says the initial one-month application window is now closed, and it’s time to review the applications. 32 percent of the entries were sent in during the last six days of the duration, a well defined increase in interest.
Watch some of the videos found on YouTube, hopefully you might want to create yours… *wink*.
