In the search for Africa’s finest, Nigeria is joining the rest of the world to find Nigeria’s Next Super Model in a Reality TV Show Nigeria’s Next Super Model Reality TV show. Contestants must be between the ages of 16 and 26.
This is more like a lyric to the favorite songs of aspiring models, super models, even up and coming models in Nigeria, Africa and/or any part of the world. Nigeria’s Next Super Model continues to be rated as first position in modeling contests around Africa. The contest have produced several supermodels on the international platforms, several international modeling agencies, countless fashion events are runways, and the favorites of cutting-edge fashion designers from various parts of the fashion world. Since inception, Nigeria’s Next Super Model has been in the business of scouting and remolding untapped young girls into world class models who during and after their reigns continue to grace the international runways, feature in top designer’s fabrics, and become the favorite of international photographers all around the world. Some of the past queens became the most sought after models in Africa, on an occasion where one was named by Vogue Italia during the Milan Fashion week 2015 as one of the face to watch out for. She has since then been photographed by international Photographers like Cristiano Miretti, James Hercules, Aham Obumleme, Hakeem Salam, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Yetunde Babaeko to mention a few.
Each year, the contest gets better and bigger and 2017 is set to be extraordinaire. The registration for this year’s contest is FREE, this is a decision by the organiser – Joan Okorodudu, to go in line with the purpose of the contest, “helping young girls”.
Nigeria’s Next Super Model 2016 was infused into one of Africa’s topmost fashion weeks – Africa International Fashion Week which took place from the 16th to 18th of November, 2016 at D’Venue, water corporation road, oniru lekki lagos NIGERIA, an event that is known to pull together creative and talented fashion designers all over africa and it’s environs. NNSM 2016 contest started at the early part of the year, of which several girls applied to stand a chance. Several screenings were conducted at various times of the year at different locations around the country. Final screening left 25 stunning girls standing, and in-camp voting left 11 girls standing. The AIFW 2016 peaked with the crowning of the 10th winnner of Nigeria’s Next Super Model. Scaling through 20+ finalists, then Top 5 (Ibukun, Grace, Omolola, Blessing, and Faith), and then Top 3 (Ibukun, Omolola and Grace), the winner (IBUKUN) is no doubt the winner as the entire audience screamed in agreement at the announcement of her name as the Queen. She was gracefully presented with her gifts which includes a brand new Car by Studio24, VIP trip ticket by EU RAIL, and several other benefits that are awaits as the reign goes by… the founder, Mrs Joan Okorodudu always have this quote for the winner, “the winner takes it all”. All the top finalists are supermodels already, identified by international bookers and modeling agencies, they are sure to be leaving the country soon for their various international jobs.
