Ugochi Ihueze Mitchell emerged as the winner of the 2017 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty contest on Friday, September15th. The young lady who represented Kebbi state is a model under the Beth model agency.
This year show wasn’t like other past shows as MBGN organizers put in more effort to celebrate their 30th anniversary. After going through a series of rigorous auditioning across the country, they selected 36 girls who represented different states. some of the girls were lucky to have represented their own state and culture.
The 36 girls stayed in the camp for two weeks where they were groomed for the big event. During their stay in camp, the contestants had to solicit to the masses to vote for them on the  MBGN social media account.  During their days in camp, their talent competition was judged as well as other activities which automatically brought out their 14 finalists on the big day, and one contestant who was fast-tracked by the online voting to make 15 finalists overall.
It is interesting to see that Ugochi Ihueze who represented Miss Kebbi emerged the winner of the beauty contest.  Ihueze is an undergraduate of the prestigious University of Benin (UNIBEN); She became the 30th MBGN Queen beating 35 other contestants. She would be representing the country at the Miss World Pageant in Sanya China later this year.
