CelebrityJohn Krasinski Is the Low-Key Style Inspiration We've Been Looking For
John Krasinski doesn’t strike us as a guy who cares a ton about clothes but, as his star has risen, he’s really refined his sense of style. Fashion enthusiast or not, he’s at the top of his game.
What we appreciate about Krasinski’s style today is that, instead of dutifully slipping on bold-color suits and retro knit polos, he’s taken a more minimalist route, favoring modern, pared-down clothes in neutral colors. The effect is confident, sophisticated, and yet doesn’t feel inauthentic or too “styled” for someone who lives in baseball caps and straight-leg jeans on his off-duty days. If you want to look your best, but would never dream of buying a satin bomber jacket, you’d be wise to follow this guy’s lead.
In fact, Krasinski’s most recent press-facing looks, styled by red-carpet veteran Jessica Paster, are like a blueprint for non-flashy Friday-night style. Last night he wore a smart black suit with a white shirt and slim black tie. It was handsome and classic at the same time. In recent weeks, for more casual events, he’s leaned on slim-cut trousers, lightweight crewnecks, and suede hard-bottom shoes in neutral colors. This is the kind of uniform you can wear pretty much anywhere that doesn’t require a suit; from a cocktail party to a movie theatre.
Krasinski’s gray-and-navy look on the left, above, is head-to-toe Vince. If you dig the minimalist vibe and haven’t discovered the brand, prepare to drop some serious cash. It’s a haven for this type of wear-it-over-and-over-again stuff.
