NBAJ. R. Smith Caps Off Best Summer Ever with a New Good Dog
The bulldog’s name is also very J.R.
J. R. Smith continues to have the best summer ever. After playing a huge role in the Cavaliers’ upset of the Golden State Warriors (who blew a 3-1 lead, by the way), J.R. refused to wear a shirt for what felt like weeks. He turned his shirtlessness into money. And all signs point to him getting a lucrative deal from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Throw in the fact that he got married this off-season, and it's clear that it's a good time to be J. R. Smith. It seemed like things couldn't possibly get better, but then J.R. went and made an announcement on Uninterrupted.
Okay, this is obviously a very good dog.
We're going to have to break it down further:
- It's named Cowboy. Cowboy is an objectively great dog name.
- He's also shirtless. That's good for J.R.'s brand.
- He's tiny. Could be a solid backup point guard for the Cavs.
One thing is clear. Between J.R.'s dog video and Iman Shumpert's new cat video (okay, maybe it's Kanye West and Teyana Taylor's video), the Cavs have the animal Internet on lock.
