CelebrityHow Every Cool Guy Is Wearing a Suit This Summer
Daniel Radcliffe's royal blue suit is a total success.
When you wear a suit, any suit, you should never think to yourself, This looks fine. But when you decide to wear a royal blue suit, you should aim for, well, royal levels of style. And that's exactly what Daniel Radcliffe achieved yesterday in New York during a visit to the set of Extra in Times Square. With his Yves Klein blue two-piece he wore a navy-and-white striped nautical T-shirt and a pair of caramel colored plain-toe dress shoes, to which we say, Thank you. Daniel, thank you for wearing an outfit so perfectly suited (wink) to our style coaching needs. See, everything Radcliffe is wearing here can be worn by you to work (and beyond!) right this minute. He looks sharp as a tack, sufficiently summer-y, and taller than ever before. He's also showing he knows how to rock a few different menswear trends without looking shamefully trendy. In fact we've seen very similar versions of this before, on other stylish it gentlemen like Mr. Robot star Rami Malek.
So how can you insert yourself into this A+ fit? It's pretty simple, really. When shopping for a blue suit, look for one that has slightly tapered pants or go get them tapered yourself when you're getting them hemmed during your next trip to the tailor. This will make sure you look as long and lean as possible. Next, embrace the power of the striped shirt, sometimes called a mariner's shirt. Find yourself one with narrow blue stripes against a white or cream background. This will minimize any fears you might have about horizontal stripes and added bulk. Actually the V-shape of your perfectly-fitting blazer will create a slimming effect as well. Now all you need is a slick pair of plain-toe lace ups. Anything in a warm tan or caramel color will do. Don't forget, blue and brown are still a winning combination.
