SportsHere's Ryan Lochte Getting Rushed By Protestors on Dancing With The Stars
The disgraced swimmer had an eventful DWTS debut.
Last night, Ryan Lochte began the next step of his "So Sorry, Bro" tour when he made his Dancing With The Stars debut. At first things seemed to be going perfectly. You had a seemingly contrite Lochte talking about letting people down, a montage of Lochte sucking at dancing, and then what seemed to me to be a decent enough foxtrot. If people are willing to accept dance as a metaphor for his life, maybe he can get Americans to say "jeah" to him once more. But then during the judging portion of the show, something weird happened.
Two hecklers rushed the stage with anti-Lochte t-shirts.
Here's another angle of them getting stopped by security:
And a picture of the guys decked out in their anti-Lochte finest:
It seems what happened was pretty straightforward. These guys rushed the stage and were stopped by security. But apparently Ryan, and this is totally true and not at all made up by me right now*, had a slightly different version of what happened:
"I was just like whoa. I had popped out of the car with Cheryl. We're foxtrotting around. And these two guys jump out of the trunk of the car and start beating me up before I could finish my dance. I was like, 'wha?' but they didn't listen because they said they were deaf gangsters who were trying to kidnap me and hold me for ransom like that little kid in that Mel Gibson movie. And I said, 'Take me! Don't take Cheryl.' and she made out with me or whatever. But then I beat them up and they left. And I finished my dance. I was just. So. Scared… What's that? Oh the whole thing was taped? Oh, it was on TV? Yeah they just came up after we danced and yelled a little. Sorry I'm intoxicated."
We'll soon see if America chooses to keep the "So Sorry, Bro" tour rolling along by voting Lochte through to the next round.
*This is totally not true and definitely made up by me right now.
