Exclusive interview with Cynthia Abdulahi

She is young pretty and vibrant, one can say the sky is the limit for the Kogi state-born mannequin with stunningly high cheek bone. Shortly after winning Nigeria’s Next super model  she rose from obscurity to fame and fortune, now she is the proud owner of a 2014 Hyundai Accent and has already flown out of the country for major fashion shows including Newyork fashion week, Mercedes benz fashion week Joburg, 100 Atlanta black women show produced by Dwight Eubanks of Atlanta housewives, to name but a few. She has also graced the pages of Numerous fashion publication ranging from mode men, Monalisa to Vogue. Cynthia Abdulahi speaks on modeling, her reign as Nigeria’s next super model and what she hopes for the future.

Tell us a little bit about yourself? 
 My name is Cynthia Abdulahi. Am from Kogi state. Am from a family of six. Am the third born.
Did you always wanted to be a model, or did you just stumble upon it? Who or what inspired you to become a model?
Sincerely speaking i never knew i was going to model not until someone told me about Nigeria’s next super model, ever since i’ve loved modeling. My rolemodels are Bunmi Ademokoya and Aisha Bello.
How would you describe yourself as a model in three words? 
Confident, Passionate, Enduring.

As the winner of Nigeria’s next super model how would you describe your reign so far?
Nigeria’s next super model has helped me grow is so many ways anyone can ever imagine, i’ve travelled out of the country, and i have walked internationally with top designers and some top models from around the world, i feel so blessed to be given this opportunity to pursue my dreams.
How do you feel Nigeria’s next super model has empowered you in term of modeling?
It has empowered me to be more confident and courageous.
Do you do any exercise to maintain your slender figure? What is your beauty routine like?
My slender figure is natural. I dont do any beauty routine except good sleep, good healthy foods and i take a lot of water and fruits, that has really helped me a lot.
What outfit are you most comfortable in?
I love being simple and wearing comfortable outfits like my denim and tank top with flats, but usually i dress according to occasion.


Have you had any tough moments in modeling so far?
No i havent had any tough moment except the competition which was really tough, so far its been fun all along.
You mentioned the competition is tough, in what way?
It wasnt an easy journey from the casting, there were so many girls aspiring to win, hundreds of girls which were eventually shortlisted to 15 finalist, it was a tough process convincing the judges and by the special grace of God, i won it.

What is your vision for the next few years?
In the next few years, i see myself as a top model, modeling with top brands from around the world and being looked up to as a role model to young girls.
Would you share some of your life motor, any words of wisdom that you get by in life?
To be good, loyal and prayerful.
What tips and advice do you have for aspiring models just starting out?66
My advice to them is they should be focused on their dreams and they should not be intimidated by anyone. They should be confident and passionate about modeling.
