MusicDrake Revived Ye Olde Meek Mill Beef
The beef that would survive a nuclear holocaust continued into its 13th month on Sunday.
When we last checked in on the Drake vs. Meek Mill beef, which is like a hard cheese you stumble upon in your fridge every six to eight weeks, it was Meek who briefly revived the tete-a-tete with a diss track in May. That was Month 11 of of the ongoing feud between the two rappers that started early last year. Though Meek was the one keeping the doctors from pulling the plug on the beef in May, Drake is now the one responsible for giving this beef just the faintest signs of life, as he took a little shot at Meek during his Summer Sixteen show Saturday.
Drake, whose rumored beef with Eminem was a bust, instead targeted a familiar foe at his most recent show. During a performance of his song "Back to Back," which is already a Meek diss track, Drake altered the lyrics of the song from "You still ain't did shit about the other one" to "That pussy still ain't did shit about the other one."
Are people really still calling each other the P-word? Come on, man. It's 2016. Drake ratcheted up the rhetoric in Meek’s hometown of Philly on Sunday, claiming that Meek isn't even from Philly:
Seeing as how the concert was in Philadelphia, Meek apparently had a crew waiting to, uh, receive Drake after the show, a group of people Drizzy apparently wanted no part of.
We're looking forward to catching up with this beef 26 weeks from now, when one of the rappers releases a derogatory book of sonnets about the other.
