Designers Awards Africa DAA 2020 – Toyin Lawani Awards One Million Naira Scholarship each to 3 young designers

The 2020 edition of the Designers Awards Africa turned out to be a glamorous show considering the fact that the country (Nigeria) is still recovering from the previous turmoils of COVID-19 and the #ENDSARS saga. Yet fashionistas, beauty queen and kings, fashion icons, designers, award nominees and invited guests turned out in their most creative style for the year (I guess). What a nice way to end the fashion year in style.

Here are some of the key moments from DAA 2020.

Amb. Aisha Aliu Shamaki receives an award at Designers Awards Africa 2020 along with some key personalities, such as the 20 years old @ka.tiara_ , the CREATIVE DIRECTOR of @styleparadise.ng. She won the African Emerging Female Designer of the Year.

She happily commented: I want to say a big thank you to everyone for supporting and trusting my brand to style you💕.
Can’t wait to grow together and excel while bringing to you CREATIVITY IN FASHION and AFRICA🙌🏽🎉🎉🎉

The main designer for the night – Toyin Lawani, CEO of Tiannah’s Empire didn’t disappoint as she showed up in a rather gorgeous fashion piece obviously designed by her. She promoted almost all her students by bringing them along to the show and showcasing them and their collections on the runway… and yes they are amazing collections.

On her official instagram page she presented and congratulated the recipients of her scholarship of the One Million Naira each valued school… she wrote:
