Baltimore Fashion Week 2015 – be●at●i●tude

Baltimore Fashion Week is an annual fashion showcasing event that provides a runway setting for designers to present collections to buyers, boutique owners, clients, and fashion trendsetters.

Established in June 27, 2006, this event has catapulted to a different level and category of fashion presentation.  Its first production was August 2008, at the historical War Memorial, located in the Heart of the City.

The 8th annual Baltimore Fashion Week (BFW) was August 11, 2015 through August 16, 2015. Runways shows were scheduled for August 14, 2015 through August 16, 2015.

Baltimore Fashion Week is a mission aligned event of the Fashion Umbrella Foundation.  Baltimore Fashion Week‘s presence in the community also aides in the continuation of the organization’s key initiatives involving youth in local communities, the Arts, and Education.

This year’s uniqueness came with be●at●i●tude being added to the show. be●at●i●tude is a runway segment that connects fashion, style and faith on August 14, 2015.  Models for this segment are leaders in the faith community that embody a keen fashion sense while delivering the message of faith, love and compassion. These stylish faith warriors graced the runway wearing the latest fashion forward apparel tailored to the faith community. The fashion houses included millinery, haberdashery and a multitude of faith appropriate attire.

Amongst the several designers that showcased at this event are 2 liberian designers J Wonyen Designs by Crystal Wonyen and Angie H Couture by Angie Hoff who both fall under the umbrella of Liberia Fashion Marketing, by Junda Morris Kennedy. Photographer: Shawn Kinsey
