TVYou're Going To Want to See Eleven From Stranger Things Rap Nicki Minaj's "Monster" Verse
Who knew Millie Bobby Brown had powers that went beyond telekinesis.
The Stranger Things victory lap continues! Fresh off the most no-duh series renewal in a long time, the kids from Netflix's surprise hit went on The Tonight Show to play games with Jimmy Fallon. Now on paper mixing the Fallon's "let's play games!" approach with a bunch of kid actors feels like it could be a recipe for some obnoxious and treacly TV, but in this case it was absolutely great. The highlight was a game where the kids and Jimmy sat around a table shooting silly string at each other as a way of indicating who they thought a particular secret applied to. See, even typing that, it sounds like it will be annoying to watch, but it wasn't! In fact, it delivered one of the greatest late night moments I've seen in some time. Millie Bobby Brown, who famously portrayed the supernaturally gifted Eleven on Stranger Things showed off her pitch perfect rendition of Nicki Minaj's verse from Kanye West's "Monster" (aka one of the greatest rap verses of all time). It was magical. (The whole segment is great but the genius starts at 4:35.)
From now on, all I want in life is to rap a badass verse while spraying silly string on my enemies. Millie Bobby Brown is an inspiration for all of us.
