CelebrityYoung Thug's Jeffery Cover Is A Troll for the Ages
And the Internet reacted just as you want it to—with memes!
On Thursday night, Young Thug released his mixtape, "No, My Name is Jeffery." By Friday morning, the Internet had responded by meme-ing the ever-loving shit out of its cover, on which the artist is pictured wearing a dress.
Because while pretty much everyone agrees that the music itself is great—the tracks are all named after the rapper's idols, Wyclef Jean, Kanye West, Rihanna, and Harambe among them—the cover look is a statement unto itself. The rapper has famously worn women's clothing in the past, but the the ice-blue floor length skirt on the cover got tongues wagging immediately. (Ironically enough, it was created by Italian menswear designer Alessandro Trincone, and came down the runway worn by a male model.)
Not that any of that matters to crafty people on Twitter, many of whom made pretty immediate comparisons to the fight scenes in Mortal Kombat. Below, the many hilarious mutations of the cover we've seen today.
