NewsWatch a French Dude Try to Smash Every iPhone in an Apple Store
This is a bad thing to do, but I find this video oddly soothing.
Are you unhappy about Apple's decision to ditch the headphone jack? Frustrated by the way your phone becomes obsolete after a year or two? Can't stand the crazy amount of money you drop every time you walk into one of those glass cubes? How about those annoying Genius Bar waits? Those guys will make you sit on those uncomfortable benches until late afternoon for a 10 A.M. appointment, and then make you feel like it's somehow your fault that your iPhone battery won't stay charged.
Well it turns out, no matter how much you hate Apple or the Apple Store, there's no way you hate it as much as this guy who walked around the store smashing phones with a steel ball.
According to The Verge the man "was complaining about his consumer rights and a refund." I feel his pain, but I somehow get the sense that systematically destroying thousands of dollars of products is not the best way to get that refund you want. And not for nothing, I'm not sure even the most generous interpretation of "consumer rights" would cover mass destruction. The man was arrested following the incident, though for their sake, I hope the police don't have Apple products at the station.
