SuitsThe Next Suit You Buy Should Be In This Color
Narcos star Boyd Holbrook made our best-dressed list last week wearing a rich burgundy suit from Valentino. Yesterday, he turned up in another bold-color rig from the Italian house, this one in olive green. Only time will tell whether the American actor will be the heir to the Robert Pattinson colored suit throne, but seeing these pitch-perfect looks, and knowing that super-stylist Ilaria Urbinati is on his side, means he's got fair shot at the title.
Unlike burgundy, cobalt, or emerald, an army-hue is a very wearable way to do the non-neutral suit thing. It's the kind of color that won't make you stick out like a sore thumb in a crowd, but will still separate you from the legions of guys wearing gray, navy, and black. We especially dig Holbrook's monochromatic shirt and tie. It makes the look feel modern and cool instead of straight-up classic. That means you could wear it on a date or to a party just as easily as you could to the office. Especially if you add a pair of round glasses to loosen the whole thing up.
