NFLThe Dolphins' Color Rush Uniforms Are Shockingly, Offensively Orange
For the second year in a row, the NFL is imposing its much-maligned "Color Rush" uniforms on those unfortunate teams matched up each Thursday night, effectively reducing these world-class athletes into different iterations of those Mr. Sketch markers you sniffed a little too enthusiastically at the beginning of every school year.
Tonight's game pits the teal-and-orange Dolphins against the orange-and-black Bengals, and given that the NFL has never been known for its subtlety, you just knew orange would be prominently involved. Sure enough, the Dolphins came out of the tunnel looking like they had just raided a FUBU outlet circa 1997.
I can't decide whether these sartorial atrocities make the players look more like Cheetos or extremely fit members of the Rebel Alliance, but either way, it's pretty jarring. Twitter had some other apt comparisons that really just made you realize how many hilarious bright orange things exist in the world.
