NFLProof Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman Have the Most Hilarious Rivalry in Football
Gorgeous form on that lift!
In case you missed it, Josh Norman and Odell Beckham Jr. really do not much care for each other. Things got heated before their Week 15 matchup last season even started, when Norman and his Panthers teammates were spotted waving a baseball bat at Beckham during pregame warmups. Once the action got underway, both men promptly lost their minds. Norman and Beckham racked up two and three personal fouls, respectively, and Beckham earned himself a one-game suspension for leveling his best cruise-missile imitation at Norman's head.
When Norman left Carolina to sign with Washington this offseason, fans eagerly anticipated biannual rematches between newly minted division rivals Norman and Beckham. Early action in today's bout was dominated by a series of unfortunately placed football obstacles. First, a frustrated Beckham decided to take out some angst on a sideline kicking net. He did not count on the net defending itself, and a beautiful self-own ensued.
Later on, a celebrating Josh Norman nearly put a hapless official in concussion protocol.
The combatants eventually got it together in time to deliver a world-class athletic performance, though not of the type we all expected.
We can't decide which part of this gridiron ballet we love more: Beckham complaining to the referee while still perched atop Norman's shoulder, or Norman throwing up the universal "Hey, I didn't do anything!" hands after the dude took a full six steps before bodily throwing a grown man out of the end zone.
The Giants and 'Skins don't face off again until January 1, so if any New York- or Washington-area holiday productions of The Nutcracker are in the market for a new leading duo, we have a pretty good idea of who they could call.
