NewsPresident Obama Really Wants Bill Clinton to Get on the Plane Already
Bill! Billy! Bill!
President Obama and Bill Clinton found themselves in Tel Aviv today, attending the funeral of Shimon Peres, former president of Israel. It had been a long day, no doubt, filled with diplomatic small talk and melancholy thoughts. So it's no wonder that President Obama is eager to get back on Air Force One, decompress a little, kick off his shoes, and jet back home to his wife and family. It's time to go. Just need to get Bill Clinton on board, and then it's wheels up. Just need ol' Bill. Bill Bill Bill. Where's Bill?
If the leader of the free world is sitting at the top of the stairs, clapping his hands and shouting your name, doing his best impression of a guy who's too lazy to stop his dog from eating a trash bag on the other side of the dog run, are you gonna ignore him? No. But Bill Clinton? He's in no rush. Bill Clinton's out here on the tarmac, doling out southern charm like it's a second helping of mom's pecan pie.
Tension mounts. President Obama's frustration grows.
But then Bill comes bounding up those stairs and all is forgiven. President Obama can kick back, and America is left wondering: what would it take to get these two their own reality show together?
