CelebrityNo One At The MTV VMAs 2016 Knows How Shirts Work
You can always count on the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet to serve up a buffet of menswear swerves. We're talking formal sweatsuits and high-fashion bondage gear. It's the one awards show where the dress code is as loose as the rules around the awards themselves (just who decides who takes home a moonman anyway?). But this year, it looks like the guys took loose to a whole new level: they just didn't wear shirts.
Desiigner, Jeremy Scott
Desiigner and actual designer Jeremy Scott both opted for sharply tailored—and yes, extremely flashy—suits. When it came to underpinnings, both decided flesh was best. Professional relative Frankie Grande followed suit while Ty Dolla Sign and G-Eazy (top) made some effort to wear shirts but fell short of actually, you know, wearing them (pro tip: it takes more than just an arm in a sleeve).

We've got primers on everything (tailors? check. ball grooming? check. pig roasts? check.), but we never thought we'd have to address issues as elementary as "what is a shirt?" and "how to wear a shirt." And we're not about to, either. We're just going to ask that you, good reader, take note of these bare-chested men, note that zero of these looks should ever be recreated IRL, and get back to your Sunday night. Cool? Cool.
