NFLMarshawn Lynch and His New Best Friend Bear Grylls Start a Fire with Marshawn's Dreadlock
Who better to take on the wild than Beast Mode himself?
Marshawn Lynch has done a lot of dope things in his life: he attended the greatest university in the world, won a Super Bowl, and retired on his own terms, young, healthy, and profoundly rich. On Monday's episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls (yep, that guy), Lynch added another one to this impressive list: using his dreadlocks to start a fire high in the Corsican Mountains of France.
As with every participant on the show, Lynch got the full Grylls treatment, clambering through mountainous terrain, hunting down a hog for dinner (should have stored some chicken wings in trademark Lynch fashion), and building meager shelters out of tree boughs, much to the former running back's chagrin.
You can watch the whole episode if you like, but the deeply important stuff is right here:
Hell yeah. Grylls' cavalier enthusiasm in requesting a deadlock was a bit surprising, since I would have guessed that a fire borne of Lynch's hair would send a towering wall of flame miles into the sky, enveloping everyone within a ten-mile radius in a delicious cloud of sweet, Skittles-tinged smoke. Frankly, a man of Grylls' expertise should know to handle such dangerous, volatile kindling in a more responsible manner.
Fortunately, the blaze remained manageable, and Lynch and Grylls made it out of France relatively unscathed. He even use d the opportunity to drop some hard-earned wisdom from his career.
Whether you're looking for life lessons, or just find yourself in need of some practical advice while hiking this fall, Marshawn Lynch has your back either way.
