NBAGregg Popovich Is Really Taking the Post-Tim Duncan Era Well
Has the famously prickly couch gone soft?
Look, a lot of people would try to tell you that what I'm about to share with you is just a silly video showing famed San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich and one of his point guards Patty Mills being goofy. Those people are cowards who have let the NBA off-season soften their ability to BREAK DOWN THE GAME. Not me. My NBA takes are in mid-season form and I'm ready to go. Let's check out the tape:
Are you kidding me? Does this look like a good coach to you? Kowtowing to a BACKUP GUARD?! Pop's gone soft. All this time we gave him credit for the championship culture that the Spurs have been able to facilitate over the years, but it turns out we were wrong. That whole time it had been TIM "TIM DUNCAN" DUNCAN who had been pulling the strings. Pop was just Timmy's surly puppet. His POPpet! Now with Dictator Tim gone, we're going to see a much more touchy feely Pop than the one we're used to. He'll be doing long, freewheeling interviews with David Aldridge between quarters. Sorry, San Antonio, it's over.
Okay, sorry, I had to get it out of my system. I miss the NBA and want to have things to have takes on that don't involve Chris Bosh's health. (Get better, big guy.)
