MusicFrank Ocean's Second Album Has Finally Arrived
And it has a new title.
After years of cryptic hints and frustrating teases that have only increased the hype around one of the most anticipated records in recent history, Frank Ocean's long-awaited second studio album has finally arrived. The 17-track album—which was long reported to be titled Boys Don't Cry—has been released under the title Blonde. You can get it on Apple Music right now.
Blonde arrives as the apparent culmination of an extremely busy month for Frank Ocean. On August 1, Ocean broke his longstanding radio silence with a widely hyped, characteristically mysterious video in which he built a staircase. (And he looked great doing it.)
The New York Times reported that the second album would arrive on August 5, but that date (and several other rumored release dates) passed without any further updates. On August 19, Ocean finally released a visual album titled Endless—but that project, while plenty acclaimed in its own right, still wasn't that long-awaited second album.
Fortunately, the wait turned out to be just one more day—and now we have two brand-new Frank Ocean projects to pore over.
